This is another piece I did for Imagined Realms. I don’t know why, but I’m really into working with geometric shapes and forms lately.
Check out Imagined Realms on Kickstarter; supporting it helps me afford to create new art for Book 2! :)
I’m super excited Isabelle is gonna be in Mario Kart, Luigi better watch himself.
He has a record of killing us an they hired him back and put him in a community that’s mainly black?!?!?! I CANNOT. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2732986/Darren-Wilson-s-policing-job-Missouri-police-department-shut-entire-force-replaced-amid-racism-corruption-allegations.html
His entire department at a previous town was shut down because of widespread corruption. they were literally so bad that people voted to close the police down.
So when I said a while ago that it looks like DashCon 2015 is off, I was wrong.
They just changed its name to Emoti-Con.
But it will still be the DashCon that we all know and love (to hate), as visible in their rules:
Even if that reason is that Emoti-Con failed to pay the performers, leading to said performers not performing (as happened with Welcome to Night Vale at DashCon). It’s all about caveat emptor when it comes to this convention.
The convention is not only taking place on the same dates that DashCon 2015 was supposedly going to be held, and at the same venue, but the venue’s site still links to the now-defunct dashcon.org site below the event listing.
They have learned one thing from their past mistakes, though: tumblr doesn’t track tags with hyphens in them. By changing the name to Emoti-Con, they made it slightly harder for people to follow the developing stories. But if people tag their posts with either #emoticon or, better yet, #emoti con with a space but no dash (so fans of actual emoticons don’t get deluged with posts in their tag), the tales of woe can still be readily available to all.
They’ve also decided to branch out and instead of being a tumblr convention, they want to be an internet convention, including reddit, facebook, 4chan (I wonder how many of them will show up after watching DashCon 2014 with such glee?), and seemingly anyone else who uses the internet. Probably because they figured “if we could scam $17,000 from just tumblr users, how much more do you suppose we could get from everyone else?”
Also, I wonder if it was intentional that they stole the name of another event which has already been held for the past three years in New York?
